The most important changes to the 2023 Toyota Camry are to its exterior, which is getting better and younger every year. And not only is the bodywork getting sportier and more modern, but it’s now also available in the new Nightshade edition, which adds contrasting black accents to the mirror housings, lower body and door handles.
The most eye-catching feature of the updated Nightshade edition is the 19-inch bronze wheels. The rest of the Camry is still sporty, especially with the SE and XSE versions. The latter goes a step further by adding a spoiler, a mesh grille and 19-inch wheels.
The TRD package really takes it to the limit with an athletic style, a dual exhaust, two-tone paint and more.
The 2023 Toyota Camry features three powertrains in the catalogue. The first is a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder with 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The XSE version is a little more exciting with its 206-horsepower engine with 186 lb-ft of torque.
This version, as well as the XLE, can also be equipped with an even more powerful engine: a 3.5-liter V6, which is available with the TRD package. This engine unleashes 301 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque, and is paired with a high-performance suspension!
Both gasoline engines are paired with the 8-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission, which delivers very smooth shifting. The SE and XSE versions are even more fun to drive with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters
For even more confident driving, all models offer all-wheel drive as an option. This AWD system also features Dynamic Torque Control, which can transfer up to 50 percent of the torque to the rear wheels.
The 2023 Toyota Camry Hybrid boasts outstanding fuel efficiency with fuel ratings as low as 4.9 L/100 km city and 4.8 L/100 km highway. The hybrid powertrain combines a 2.5 L engine with an electric motor and generates a total output of 208 horsepower and 163 lb-ft of torque.
The Toyota sedan has a comfortable interior with a refined design. Its ergonomic cockpit is sporty and makes it easy to drive. For the best comfort in the winter, heated front seats are standard, as is the 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat.
