Not only has it become Toyota’s most popular model, but it is now the best-selling SUV in Quebec thanks to its reliability. Since Toyota is on the cutting edge, it provided the model with its most environmentally friendly version to date – which is why we’re thrilled to present the 2020 Hybrid Toyota RAV4. Hybrid Technology at its Best
This updated vehicle is propelled by a 2.5 L gasoline engine with two electric motors powered by a 1.6 kWh battery. The two motors add up to 219 horsepower, making it very powerful for a hybrid vehicle. In addition, thanks to the electric motors in the front and rear, the vehicle is equipped with all-wheel drive, making it a stable and perfect vehicle for winter.
The RAV4 hybrid model leaves nothing to be desired: by combining engine power and low fuel consumption, it offers the best of both worlds. Fuel consumption is as low as 5.7 L/100 km in the city and only slightly higher on the highway, at 6.3 L/100 km.
The hybrid edition is available in four models to suit all needs and budgets: LE, XLE, XSE and Limited. You’ll find different features in each model, from heated seats to the most luxurious features in the Limited. These include heated rear seats, front seat ventilation and driver position memory for even more comfort. Dual-zone automatic climate control is available on all models, and the heated leather steering wheel is available on the XLE.
Toyota also excels in safety, and the RAV4 is no exception with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 package standard on all models. This includes Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning and a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian and Bicycle Detection. Automatic headlights and a blind spot monitor also guarantee your safety and that of other drivers on the road.
In addition to advanced safety technologies, the RAV4 offers a good infotainment system, including a 7 to 8-inch touch screen depending on the model. In addition to Apple CarPlay, it now includes compatibility with Android Auto and Amazon Alexa, a new feature for 2020. The Limited model goes even farther by integrating navigation, traffic and weather, thus combining usefulness with pleasure.
In addition to this model of the Hybrid RAV4, another variation has been added to the range: The Prime RAV4, a model with a rechargeable battery that stands out from the crowd. In fact, it offers not only more power (302 horsepower), but also increased autonomy of up to 60 km. This sportier vehicle is offered in two versions, SE and XSE, giving you a choice between a mid-range and a high-end option.
